History of Rubb's Expeditionary Forces Aircraft Shelter System
The EFASS range of soft walled structures was specifically designed for the military to be rapidly deployed and erected anywhere in the world. These defence structures, helicopter hangars, aircraft shelters, storage warehouses and aircraft sunshades are manufactured to a very high specification using only the best quality of materials. This provides a product that will not only stand the test of time and fulfil the needs of global military forces, but will also prove to be a very cost effective asset over the structure's lifetime. Rubb's EFASS military buildings can be extended, shortened and modified, refurbished, relocated, reused or sold.
The EFASS range of military hangars are designed in strict conformity with the current UK Defence Standards and building regulations with respect to all wind, snow and imposed roof loads. Rubb engineers ensure all designs are capable of withstanding full snow loadings by geographic location and do not reduce structural framework sizes on the assumption that snow will slide off the roof.
Rubb structures are designed to take all of the loads specified and are substantiated by full structural calculations for each and every building.

- Multiple spans: 11.1m (36ft), 20.4m (67ft), 25m (82ft)
- State-of-the-art hangar doors available including Heli-Door, Trident and Roller Shutter options
- Innovative roof mounted crane provides optimal operational capability
- Withstands wind and snow loads to UK Defence Standards: VE41.6m per second (wind speed); 100kg per m² (snow load)
- Fabric is fire retardant and can be easily repaired
